Research Institute of Materials and Technologies (RI MT) was established in 2007 in accordance with the plan of strategic development of the University for solving complex scientific and engineering tasks through interdisciplinary polytechnic approach.

Testing and Certification Center “Vysota” for high-rise and long-span buildings and constructions 

Areas of scientific activity:

  • carrying out certification tests and certification of construction materials, articles and constructions;
  • preparing the construction enterprises for products certification, quality assessment and development of engineering solutions for quality assurance;
  • support on creating competitive products by improving their quality, introducing new consumer properties and expanding the product market;
  • developing the standards for the enterprises (Standards for Organizations on construction products and specifications quality management);
  • organization and implementation of quality control for construction materials, articles and constructions at the building complex within the production licensing requirements.

Scientific research and experiment carried out:

Assessment of:

  • maintainability of the buildings’ ventilated rainscreen facades systems;
  • heat-shielding efficiency of the exterior wall structures;
  • soundproof and vibroprotective capacity of filler structures and elements of buildings;
  • maintainability of the metal section constructions.

Thermal conductivity meter

range of thermal conduction coefficient measurement in the steady-state conditions: 0,02...1,5 Wt/m•Ê, 0,01...1,5m2•Ê/Wt, range of thermal conduction measurement by means of the heat probe: 0,03...1 Wt/m•Ê.

Multi-channel heat flux density and temperature meter

range of heat flux density measurement: 10...999 Wt/m2, range of temperature measurement: -30...+70°Ñ, range of heat transmission resistance measurement: 0,05...8 m2•Ê/Wt.

Hydrometer with the probe transducer

range of construction materials moisture measurement 1...45%.

Scales for static and hydrostatic weighing with suspension and calibration weight of 1kg

maximum weighing limit: 10000 g. Minimum weighing limit: 50 g. Accuracy class due to the State Standard Ð 76-1: medium (III).

Dilatometric unilocular freezing resistance meter

range of volume deformation measurement : 0,01..7 cm3, range of relative volume deformation measurement: 0,04 cm3.

Vacuum unilocular materials permeability meter

pressure in the chamber not higher than 0,05 MPa, range of resistance measurement 0,1...1000 ñ/cm3, range of concrete brands by its water resistance 0...20.

Noise and vibration analyzer (basic set)

frequency range from 1 Hz to 20 kHz. Range of measurable vibration level from 12 dB in the mode of 1/1 octave-frequency bands from 56 dB to 260 dB, vibration acceleration, relatively 10-6 mm/ñ2

Vicat apparatus

division value 1 mm.

Cone for concrete flowability testing (set)
